Aegon Targaryen

Aegon I Targaryen was the first king of the Targaryen dynasty. He was a warlord who, with his two sister-wives Visenya and Rhaenys, three great dragons and a small army, invaded and unified six of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros in Aegon's Conquest. Only Dorne managed to successfully resist the Targaryens, using guerrilla tactics started under the command of Meria Martell (commonly known as "The Yellow Toad") that continued for a couple of centuries until Dorne voluntarily joined the Seven Kingdoms when Maron Martell agreed to marry a Targaryen princess, Daenerys Targaryen and Maron's sister, Myriah Martell, married King Daeron II
